No Shortage of Fun Things to Do This Weekend

Thursday, March 13th, 2014

What a fabulous weekend we have in store for us in Central Florida! Spring Break is starting (or continues) for many school districts, Bike Week is wrapping up and the Orlando theme parks are as inviting as ever. It is a great time to visit the attractions or participate in one of the many other fun things to do.

Theme Park Garden Festival

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will continue. On the weekends there are more presentations and activities. Be sure to read more about this year’s festival in my previous post.

Professional Sports

If you want to catch some professional baseball, check out the Atlanta Braves. Their Spring Training facilities are located at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. It is an affordable way for the entire family to watch their favorite players. This weekend, the Braves take on the Rays on Friday at 1:05pm, and the Cardinals on Saturday at 1:05pm.

If you like sports, we can always count on the Orlando Magic to feed our professional basketball fever. This weekend the Magic take on the Washington Wizards at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando at 7:00pm. Tickets start as low as $15. This venue is spectacular, so be sure to see a game when you are able to.

If you are vacationing in Central Florida through next week, you shouldn’t miss the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. This is one of the most spectacular golf tournaments of the PGA Tour. Some of the best players will be competing. Prices start at $47 for a daily adult ticket and $15 for ages 13 to 17. The money raised at this tournament helps the kids at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. For information and tickets, go to www.arnoldpalmerinvitational.com or call 407-876-2888.

Air Show

Tico Warbird Air Show

Who doesn’t enjoy an air show? This weekend, March 14-16 the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum & TICO AirShow will take place in Titusville, Florida. For those of you visiting the Orlando theme parks, Titusville is about an hour drive east, just north of Cocoa Beach. It is an easy drive and well worth it to see this special event. This annual air show highlights military aviation and features some of the most famous trainer, transport, fighter and bomber aircraft that flew in combat around the world.

St. Patricks Day Festival

For Spring Breakers that are 18 and older (preferrably 21 and over), this weekend marks the beginning of the Mighty Festival. This festival takes place at Raglan Road Irish Pub and spans over 4 days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. All weekend long, Irish music will be featured on multiple stages. Plenty of beer choices and a menu that isn’t too shabby either. Check them out at www.raglanroad.com.

Orlando Dinner Show

After a day of baseball, airplanes, Irish music or any of the other numerous fun things to do this weekend, head to Capone’s Dinner & Show in Kissimmee, Florida. This dinner show is great for the entire family. With loads of action, singing, dancing and mobster attitude, your gang will feast at the buffet and enjoy every minute of it. For some guests who are looking to make an extra special night out, it is a no-brainer. They will pay the price for extras and the best dinner show ticket options. For others that just want to have a nice night out, and stay within a budget, the VIP ticket upgrade is usually not of interest. Bargain tickets are perfect for them.

Capone’s Favorite Dinner Show – Back By Popular Demand

BIG News! Announcing a New Multiple Show Schedule

Unlike many Orlando dinner shows, Capone’s Dinner & Show has many, many repeat guests. (We like to refer to them as repeat offenders.) It is not unusual to meet people who have seen our show over a dozen times. How many other local dinner shows can say that?

The popularity and frequency is due in part to the variety of highly professional shows we have put on over the years. An all-new show was introduced just last year in December of 2012; before that, a new show (sequel to the original) was integrated in August of 2007. These new shows keep guests coming back for more, along with the fact that no two shows are ever alike, because there is a lot of audience participation and stand-up, off-the-cuff comedy performed by our talented cast.

Bugs Creates Chaos

Characters in the show at Capone's Dinner ShowBecause of this demand, Capone’s Dinner & Show is working toward integrating a multi-show schedule. Want to see the show featuring Bugs Moran, Sunny & Honey? You’ll soon be able to (again). Back by popular demand, this version of the original show’s sequel brought about a huge following, and the cast is anxious to get back into these delightful characters. The show name is “Bugs Creates Chaos” – look for it on our schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.

Marvel Strikes Back

marvel-smIf the newest show featuring Bunny June and Fingers Salvatorio as new parents strikes your fancy, then it will still be available on certain nights. This show brought back an original show favorite character, Detective Marvel. The show name is “Marvel Strikes Back” – schedule to be announced in the near future.

The current show features an exciting gangster shoot out where guests who “catch a bullet” win big! The shoot out is so popular, it is being written into both shows, so guests attending either production will have a chance to win prizes. Bring out the big guns!

Either show, you’re going to enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Included with all of the Italian/American food favorites is an all-new meat carving station with steak, turkey and pork tenderloin. Recently added, as well, is a fresh salad bar filled with seasonal favorites. Unlike many other Orlando dinner shows, we feature a beverage selection in which ALL choices are included in the ticket price, including wine, beer and cocktails. Perhaps this is another reason our guests return again and again to Capone’s Dinner & Show.

The multiple show schedule may begin as early as August. Check the web site’s show page for updates. As soon as the schedule is set, the wise guys will be sure to rat it out, um, I mean, let you in on the rumble (news). Until then, enjoy the current show – the sequel to the sequel “Marvel Strikes Back.” It’s a blast!

Great Night: Dine at an Orlando Dinner Theater

Friday, June 14th, 2013

Photo of downtown Orlando skyline at night

Orlando is an absolutely fine city which sits at the central region of the state of Florida and is considered as the 79th largest city in the United States. This city is also called “the city beautiful.” It’s quite a charming phrase and a well-deserved title.  Now if somebody might ask “what do they have to offer in Orlando?” there is a long list of answers that come to mind.  Orlando, Florida like many other cities in the United States of America is home for a lot of business establishments.  There is a lot that this place has to offer to both its residents and tourists.  The thriving local economy is evidence that consumer activity is as exciting as ever.  Anyone who wishes to have a good time will find a lot of interesting things to do in Orlando.

Orlando dinner theaters are popular amongst locals and tourists alike. Restaurants and fine dining establishments offer a vast range of entertainment menus that match full course meals served for the customers. Nothing beats watching a great movie while enjoying a bowl of popcorn and a can of soda, but that’s a tad too ordinary.  Wouldn’t it be a better idea to enjoy your plate of steak, salad and potatoes while being entertained by a wonderful theatrical performance? There are countless themes to encounter in Orlando dinner theaters. Some use mafia themed shows (Capone’s Dinner & Show), some create musicals, and some offer interactive stories that involve the audience as well aside from scenes that go on up on the stage.

For business owners putting up these dinner theaters, picking a location and investing wisely is the right thing to do.  It should be a place where people looking for food and entertainment can easily go to.  Those who wish to check these locations out should find out if there are any of these dinner theaters near the places where they are going to stay.  These Orlando dinner theaters can be found near the commercial areas where other establishments frequented by tourists are situated as well.

Orlando attracts millions of tourists every year, and it’s not a surprise that these numbers appear on the economic status reports all the time. It is just human nature to search for places and do many different things just to avoid the feeling of boredom; this is the main reason why tourism is such an effective way to generate income in different places in the world. This makes Orlando dinner theaters a great place to be, because nothing beats five star food with five star entertainment.
