Super Game LogoNow that the super bowl stage has been set and the teams are in place, many people will focus on New Orleans and all of the festivities. Remember, however, if you are not a football fan and want to avoid all of the frenzy that goes along with the hype, Capone’s Dinner & Show offers a Super Show instead of the Super Bowl! They will even ‘quarterback sneak’ a gift to every paying guests on Sunday, February 3, 2013. See this special offer on their website.

New Orleans will be very busy this time of year with both the big game and the beginning of the Mardi Gras festivities. Fat Tuesday falls on February 12, and the festivities will blend from one party into another. You don’t have to go to New Orleans to take part in the fun. There are Mardi Gras events right here in Central Florida at the Orlando theme parks and local attractions.

Universal Orlando is the most well-known celebration amongst the Orlando theme parks when it comes to Mardi Gras.  They include a yearly Mardi Gras festival which spans three months of concerts, parades and Mardi Gras fun right here in Orlando. The concerts begin February 9th and continue through April 20th. Well known artists, such as the All-American Rejects, Kool & the Gang, Steve Miller Band and Matchbox Twenty will perform.

The theme park’s lineup for 2013 Mardi Gras at Universal Studios includes:

  • Feb. 9: Lifehouse
  • Feb. 16: Steve Miller Band
  • Feb. 17: Boys Like Girls
  • Feb. 23: Trey Songz
  • March 2: Demi Lovato
  • March 9: Montgomery Gentry
  • March 15: Sean Kingston
  • March 16: Matchbox Twenty
  • March 22: Austin Mahone
  • March 23: Phillip Phillips
  • March 30: Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo
  • April 6: Kool & the Gang
  • April 13: Pitbull
  • April 20: All-American Rejects

All of the Mardi Gras activities and concerts are included in regular admission at Universal Studios. If you are a Florida resident, the best theme park attraction deal is to go after 5 p.m. on an evening there is a concert and pay only $59.99 (in advance) or $75.99 (gate). For more information, visit their website at  www.universalorlando.com/mardigras.

Regardless if you like football, concerts or bead-throwing activities, you owe it to yourself to check out the all-new gangster shoot out at Capone’s. Guests win prizes, get a good meal and have a blast at this Central Florida attraction. It’s a good call from the huddle that your team (or family) will enjoy!
