Orlando Dinner Show: Final Notice for Final (?) Performance

Wednesday, October 9th, 2013

This will be the last notice concerning the final performance (or is it? – let your opinion be heard…vote below) of “Marvel Strikes Back,” showing this Friday, October 11 at Capone’s Dinner & Show at 7:30 p.m. This anniversary show began last August when this Orlando dinner show started their 20th anniversary celebration. Thousands of guests have enjoyed the new story line, costumes, songs and antics that only the talented performers at this dinner theater could execute.

Fans have seen Fingers and Bunny rise to the occasion of parenthood. Marvel made a strong come back. Jewel ran the speakeasy with great efficiency. Dancers & mobsters were right on cue. Romance, action, one-liners and gunfire filled the air. Must it end?

For the past few months, guests at Capone’s Dinner & Show have had a choice of 2 different shows to attend. This was a great way for previous guests to see a new show at a familiar venue. For fans of the old show “Bugs Creates Chaos,” it was a way for them to see it once again. For folks that had never seen a performance at this Orlando dinner show before, it didn’t matter which night they had reservations for; they were going to see a great show, because both shows ARE great!

After Friday evening, Capone’s Dinner & Show will return to a one-show format. Guests will see “Bugs Creates Chaos” until November 28th at which time the annual Holiday Show is performed. Out come the holiday costumes, decorations, song & dance; not to mention the delicious holiday buffet, filled with all the comforting food associated with Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. It’s a great time to enjoy a night out with your gang!

The day after New Years Day the holiday show will end and back will come “Bugs Creates Chaos.” At least that is the plan for now. Will Marvel strike back? What do you think? How about let’s take a vote…

Do you think Capone’s should continue with the 2-show format and keep “Marvel Strikes Back” as well as “Bugs Creates Chaos,” or do you want this Orlando dinner show to move forward with one show only? Please vote and let your opinion be heard!

Trip Advisor award
This year we’ve implemented a few improvements that have successfully raised our “hospitality excellence.” The food quality continued to improve, especially with the addition of our fresh salad bar and meat carving station. The salad bar is loaded with favorites and having it separate from the rest of the buffet has sped up our food service. The meat carving station features three selections – steak, turkey and pork, and because it is carved on-the-spot, the meat is fresh, hot and as moist as ever.

Late this summer, by popular demand, our sequel show, “Bugs Creates Chaos” was brought back giving our guests a two-show option. Guests that had seen one show could return to see another, or if they loved one show so much, they could return to see it again and again! The response was well-received and many positive reviews were posted.

Our Orlando dinner show is listed on TripAdvisor as a Kissimmee attraction, so next time you are online, take a moment to read the reviews of all the attractions in Orlando and Kissimmee. If you are planning a trip away from this area, check out the millions of reviews on Trip Advisor. It is the world’s largest travel site and is a great way to plan the perfect trip. If you’ve been to Capone’s Dinner & Show and have a moment while you’re online, we’d appreciate a positive review.

If you are ever disappointed in your experience at Capone’s, be sure to speak with your server before you leave the theater. We’ll do what we can to make you happy. Capone’s Favorite Dinner Show – Back By Popular Demand

BIG News! Announcing a New Multiple Show Schedule

Unlike many Orlando dinner shows, Capone’s Dinner & Show has many, many repeat guests. (We like to refer to them as repeat offenders.) It is not unusual to meet people who have seen our show over a dozen times. How many other local dinner shows can say that?

The popularity and frequency is due in part to the variety of highly professional shows we have put on over the years. An all-new show was introduced just last year in December of 2012; before that, a new show (sequel to the original) was integrated in August of 2007. These new shows keep guests coming back for more, along with the fact that no two shows are ever alike, because there is a lot of audience participation and stand-up, off-the-cuff comedy performed by our talented cast.

Bugs Creates Chaos

Characters in the show at Capone's Dinner ShowBecause of this demand, Capone’s Dinner & Show is working toward integrating a multi-show schedule. Want to see the show featuring Bugs Moran, Sunny & Honey? You’ll soon be able to (again). Back by popular demand, this version of the original show’s sequel brought about a huge following, and the cast is anxious to get back into these delightful characters. The show name is “Bugs Creates Chaos” – look for it on our schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.

Marvel Strikes Back

marvel-smIf the newest show featuring Bunny June and Fingers Salvatorio as new parents strikes your fancy, then it will still be available on certain nights. This show brought back an original show favorite character, Detective Marvel. The show name is “Marvel Strikes Back” – schedule to be announced in the near future.

The current show features an exciting gangster shoot out where guests who “catch a bullet” win big! The shoot out is so popular, it is being written into both shows, so guests attending either production will have a chance to win prizes. Bring out the big guns!

Either show, you’re going to enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Included with all of the Italian/American food favorites is an all-new meat carving station with steak, turkey and pork tenderloin. Recently added, as well, is a fresh salad bar filled with seasonal favorites. Unlike many other Orlando dinner shows, we feature a beverage selection in which ALL choices are included in the ticket price, including wine, beer and cocktails. Perhaps this is another reason our guests return again and again to Capone’s Dinner & Show.

The multiple show schedule may begin as early as August. Check the web site’s show page for updates. As soon as the schedule is set, the wise guys will be sure to rat it out, um, I mean, let you in on the rumble (news). Until then, enjoy the current show – the sequel to the sequel “Marvel Strikes Back.” It’s a blast!

Capone’s Dinner & Show – Date Changed for New Show Debut

Saturday, September 22nd, 2012

The new show preview held at Capone’s Dinner & Show on September 16 was a huge success. While much work is still needed, the guests provided plenty of feedback. Visit the Facebook wall to read the comments. Overall, the general consensus is…the new show will be a huge hit!

Originally the new show was to debut on October 1st. Now the date has been pushed back to October 16th. This will give the cast more time to prepare, the costume details to be worked out, the music scores to be completed, the set to be finished, the ‘Al Capone family welcome’ to be fine-tuned and other details to be worked out. The wait will be well worth it.

Guests were treated to a buffet at the preview, which was greatly appreciated by all. A free show and lunch? Wow! Al sure is a generous guy. In return, guests have commented on the new show, spread the word to their fellow Facebook friends, and some even met with the show director after the preview to give their 2¢ worth.

I was asked if some of the content was too sensitive. If you were at the preview, please feel free to comment on Al’s Blog concerning this – especially the lines in the new show concerning:

  • Canadians
  • Gay Rights
  • Republicans/Political
  • Women’s Rights
  • Sexual Innuendos
  • Other (please specify)

I would also like to know what your favorite parts/lines in the new show preview were. Mine was the texting telephone. To me, that was very funny!  However, I spent most of the time laughing, so I could have missed something else incredibly witty.

So many guests have enjoyed the current show. If you’ve not seen it, or haven’t been to Capone’s in awhile, do yourself a night out and see the current show. If you are waiting for the new show, please call (407) 397-2378 to confirm that it will be performed on the night you’d like to visit. While the new date of October 16th is the goal, there is no guarantee that it won’t be pushed back again. You know show business!
